Perhaps California, Hawaii, Spain, etc, but Germany? Well you are right; it has roughly the same number of sunny days as rainy Seattle.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However, Germany is the world leader in solar energy equipment. The Germans have managed to harness solar energy from solar panels and produce 55% of the world's photovoltaic (PV) energy, which is the conversion of sunlight to electricity via PV cells.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.solarregion.freiburg.de/solarregion/freiburg_solar_city.php"&gt;Freiburg&lt;/a&gt;, a city in South Western Germany (the sunbelt of Germany) is known as the ecological capital and has been paving the solar road.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Reading websites, pamphlets, and books goes only so far.
